Out and About with the Fam

My family and I were in a restaurant and I got a wrong word for the waitress. Even though it was wrong, we went ahead and asked if she had any other pain. She went on to tell us that her left leg hurt and her back. My wife offered to pray for her and she agreed. After praying a couple of times, her pain was noticeably better and she asked my wife, "How did you do do that?" She responded, "I didn't do anything, Jesus did."

I asked the waitress about someone having neck pain. She said that it was one of her coworkers. After a few minutes, he came by and let me pray for his neck. I prayed twice and he felt significant improvement-- he really wasn't comfortable getting more prayer, but appreciative of the ones he did get.

Just livin' Kingdom.

Pizza Party!

On the same Monday night as the previous post, Shing Ding Ding and I were waiting on DJ to finish getting a shave, so we strolled down to a pizza place where my wife and I had seen some healing before. Upon walking in, the staff recognized me and I started asking questions. One of the ladies said that some of the pain had come back into her hand, so we prayed for her again. There was another lady there watching as we prayed for her friend. I turned to her and asked her if she had any pain. She said, "Only emotional pain." I told her that Jesus could touch that, too. As I stood about 5 feet away with my hand extended in her direction, we prayed that the peace of God would come upon her. After a minute, we stopped and asked her how or what she felt. She looked rather freaked because she said that she could feel my hand on her even though I was not anywhere near her! She also said that she felt peace. As I was praying for her, I got a word in the right side. I asked her about it and freaked her out even more. She said that she had just been telling her friend before we came in that she had this pain in her side and it was bothering her. I again stood some distance from her and pointed to the site where the pain was. We rebuked it in the name of Jesus and then had her check it out. She was again surprised. We were, too, because that was one of the quickest healings I had seen. Got the word, released it, done. We also prayed for the other lady for peace and the cleaner for his elbow. We didn't get the breakthrough with the elbow, but we greatly encouraged by the other things the Lord had done that night.

God Does it Again!

As I look back over some of the testimonies that we have written on here, I think about how it was just a few short years ago that I thought God didn't really heal people anymore (unless it was the occasional cancer thousands of people had prayed for). Yet we now have over 400 testimonies of divine healing and/or feeling the Presence of the Holy Spirit. We also have a remarkable list of accurate prophetic words as well. The original Isaac of Nineveh once wrote:

"Do not seek the advice of him that is not thy fellow in behavior, though he be very prudent. A layman who has experienced things is more to be trusted than a sage who speaks on the basis of theoretical knowledge but without experience."

So, it is again with great pleasure that I give testimony of how God heals. . . again! This time, though, we had no treasure map and no prior words of knowledge.

We were in a barber shop when Shing Ding Ding started asking the guys there questions about their health. I was outside asking some waiters the same kinds of questions at a drive up restaurant. After not getting anywhere, I walked inside where SDD brought me up to speed. There was this one guy there who said that his chest hurt when he raised his arms. We both prayed briefly and then asked him to test it out. He was very surprised when there was no pain! He even hugged SDD! As we were walking out of the shop, some of the guys I had been talking to before came up and started asking for prayer, too! Despite the fact none of these guys were Christians, they were all very thankful. Most of their conditions, though, were only evident at different times. They all asked us to come back and see them.

Photo Lab Guy Gets Saved!

I was in a photo lab the other day getting some pictures of my sons for official business and I got a word for the photographer. I asked him if his left shoulder was in pain. He said it was. I told him that I wanted to pray for him and he said sure. As I was praying for his shoulder, he told me, "I'm diabetic, too." I prayed that Jesus would heal him of both. I then asked him to test his shoulder and he said it felt looser.

There are probably some people who got stumbled by my title to this post and then the story contained therein. "Saved" for many means "from Hell." Pain doesn't "count." Can I suggest that Jesus had relief from pain in mind when He spoke of the Kingdom coming in power, too?

Go and tell John, "The blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk. . ."

Spilling!

Last night as the Kingdomizers went out, we saw some really great stuff. I'll let the other guys post their stories, but for me, I got to pray for one guy's knee and he was delivered of the pain. From there, we went to visit a friend.

At this friend's house, I got words about a left, upper leg, a right arm, pain in the lower right side of the abdomen, insomnia, a rash on the back, and pain in the right ear. As it turns out, ALL of them were on among the three people who were there. After we prayed for some time and after some multiple prayers, almost everything was healed 100% (everything except the rash on the back, which we're not sure about).

While we were ministering to this family, I had this quasi-vision of angels coming into their house to bring provision, hope, and strength. I also sensed that one of these angels would bring baskets of dreams for each of them. Now, I don't typically see angels or talk about them and what they do, so this was outside my box even.

There's a new level for His Body today! Step into it!

Starbucks Redux!

I went by the Starbucks where I work today and immediately one of the workers came to me complaining of a headache. So, I her put her hand on her head and I prayed for her. She said that it felt better. I asked her about her left foot and she said that she also had pain there. I prayed again for her and she said that it was all better, too! Then, the manager, a lady who got healed a few weeks ago, came up with one of the other workers asking if I could pray for her as well. As it turns out, it was this woman's sister who needed the prayer, so I got her mobile number for my wife to call and encourage her. Before leaving though, another one of the ladies asked if I could just pray a blessing for her and her life, which I was happy to do.

Blessing and honor and praise be to the Lamb Who was slain for our sicknesses-- emotional and physical!

Subway, Jesus' Way!

My wife and I went to Subway for lunch. After we ordered and as we were paying, I got a word of knowledge for the guy's left shoulder. I asked him about it and he confirmed that he had pain there. I asked if he wanted to get rid of it. He thought I meant a massage, but I told him that it would only take a minute. He looked at me incredulously. I told him that I would ask God and He would heal him. I prayed for his shoulder and the pain went instantly. He then asked me if I could pray for some pain in his back. After praying THREE times for the back, he said that it was 100%. I explained to him that we were Christians and that it says in our Book that we're supposed to heal the sick. He told us he wanted us to come back soon.

Fresh is always good-- subs and testimonies!

Jesus Stops at a Bus Stop!

This morning I was taking a walk and I walked past a bus stop. There was one guy there sitting in the shade. I walked up to him and started with the most obvious thing I could think of, "Hot out here isn't it?" Nice intro. After we started talking, I asked him where he was from and then if he had a pain in the upper part of his left arm. He slowly nodded his head. I then told him that God had told me of his pain and the He wanted to heal it. He agreed to let me pray and I quickly prayed for his arm. I asked him to check and he moved it around, smiled a little, and then started nodding his head. I asked him if it were 100% and he nodded (not much of a talker, this guy). I told him that God loved him and that He had just healed him. I, then, went on with my walk.

Now, as an addendum to this story, I would like to mention HOW I got the word for his arm. I imagined a person's body in my mind's eye (like the kind you see in anatomy books) and asked the Lord to highlight the place where this guy's pain was. I could see a red light around the top of the upper left arm (like those old Doan's backpain pills commercials). Taking it on faith that this was the right word, I went ahead and approached him and the rest is history.

Jesus is so ready to work through us, He'll use whatever, whenever, for whomever. Yes, it is as simple as imagining a body and seeing a red light. Why not?

God Keeps Breaking In!

Earlier this week, my wife and I were able to minister to a lady at the bank. This morning, I went back to the bank and saw the same lady again. She was excited to see me and told me that I was right on about some of the stuff we had emailed her. She said that not only was it accurate, but very recent, too. As we were talking, she showed me the goosebumps on her arms as the presence of the Lord came upon her (she thought it was just goosebumps). She asked if we could email her again with more stuff from God! As she checked on my stuff for me, she told me, "You're really close to God, aren't you?" I told her that I was. I also told her that the Lord had only revealed general things about her to us-- enough to catch her attention and for her to realize how much He was interested in her life. I told her that He doesn't tell secrets, that He's not that kind of friend. Right before I left, I gave her my wife's mobile number so they could meet up again outside of work.

As I left the bank without actually accomplishing what I wanted to get done, I realized that the Lord must have had a different agenda. I laughed to myself because it was one of the few times that I didn't really care about not getting what I had came for.

The fields are white with harvest. Where are the harvesters?

Starbucks and Shooba!

Last week, DJ set me up with an opportunity to pray for a lady working at the Starbucks where I work. As I was going to work, we stopped by for some coffee and some shooba. I asked the lady what her problem was and she said that her shoulder hurt. I told her that I was going to pray for her and not to freak out when she felt something on her shoulder. I asked her if she believed in prayer and she nodded saying she was Catholic. We normally lay hands on people, but in this situation I didn't feel it was appropriate, so I just started praying. She bowed her head and closed her eyes. I simply asked Jesus to come to heal her shoulder. After a few seconds, I asked her to move her arm and she barely turned her wrist all the while keeping her eyes closed (I don't know if she was feeling the "sauce" or was just being reverential). I asked her to open her eyes and really move her arm. She started swinging it like she was doing fast-pitch softball and her eyes got really big and said that all the pain was gone! She also said that her arm felt really cold. I went ahead and told her some of the things that I felt God had told me about her like she was a leader and that she could sense others' emotions. She told me she was the manager there and that she had had the ability to sense others' emotions for a long time. I encouraged her to continue to develop that and ask the Lord what He might want to do when she started feeling something.

This was last week, but an old testimony is better than not writing one at all!

A Whole Bunch of Testimonies All Rolled into One!

As we were ministering in a fellowship this past Friday, I was praying for a man and I kept asking the Lord for something specific so that he would know that the Lord was looking after him. So, I kept getting pictures of him with flowers. I asked him, “Do you work with flowers?” “No.” “Do you do anything with flowers?” “No.” I finally asked him where he worked. He said, “Les Roses.”

We both laughed hard as Jesus connected the picture with the interpretation and released joy.

I was praying for a man who complained of sinus pressure. I asked him where it hurt and he pointed to the middle of his forehead. I started praying for him and as I started praying for him, I felt pain in the exact spot where he had just pointed. I felt like it was the Lord telling me that He was up to something. So, I prayed for a few more moments and asked him about the pain. He said that it was all gone with a surprised look on his face.

Sometimes when we go to a fellowship to minister to people, we stand in the front and just see who the Lord highlights specifically. Oddly enough, there are many times when our team will individually “get something” for the same person out of a large crowd. This happened last Friday, but what I want to tell about is this one guy I felt the Lord had a word for.

As I was scanning the crowd, I kept going back to this brother who was sitting not too far from the front row. As I looked at him, I felt like he had a pastor’s heart. I also felt like he had a heart of a lion. As I continued to look, the Lord gave me some more stuff for him as well. When I got my chance, I started telling him what I thought the Lord had told me. I no sooner got the word “pastor” out of my mouth that he and his wife started laughing and he said, “I was going to preach this morning before I knew that guests were here!” He received the rest of the word as well. Afterwards, he came up to me and thanked me for being obedient to the Lord because he had walked into the service that morning feeling a little lost and discouraged and had specifically thought that the Lord wasn’t going to say anything to him.

How encouraging it was for me as well!

Sometimes we have to step out in faith even if it means looking like an idiot in front of a bunch of strangers. At this service, I called out the name “Helen.” No one, I mean, NO ONE answered and there were about 75 people there. Later, after the platform stuff was over, I asked this one lady if she knew a Helen and she said, “Sure, she was supposed to be here this morning.” Does the Lord have a sense of humor or what?

I was praying for a man and kept getting the word that he was going to do some preaching and teaching. I asked him about it and he beamed with a smile and said, “Yes, the pastor has recently asked me to do some teaching and I’ve done some preaching, too.”

Our group had been to this particular fellowship many times before and one on occasion a few months ago we had had the opportunity to pray for this baby with a heart condition. However, this past Friday, the pastor of the group brought this man to me and explained to me that he was having a hard time receiving the teaching about healing because his daughter (the baby we had been praying for) had just died. Instantly, the compassion of Jesus fell on me and I hugged this total stranger and as we both wept openly, I whispered in his ear, “This was not part of God’s will. This was not His plan. I don’t understand healing anymore than you do. I don’t know why this happens. I do know that it isn’t right.” I prayed on that Jesus would help carry his pain and would draw close to mourn with him. I don’t know how much my words meant to him, but I know the embrace was probably more powerful. Sometimes the shooba is weeping with those who weep.

During the worship time, I got a word of knowledge for learning disabilities. During the ministry time, I had two brothers come up to receive prayer. I haven’t yet heard anything back from them and I may not for a long time, but it was the first time the Lord had ever led me to pray for something like that and that in itself is significant enough to blog.

As I was going to the fellowship, I was listening to a message from this guy in California. He was talking about how God uses unusual circumstances and coincidences to speak to us. He used the word, “kisses.” As part of his sermon illustration, he recalled a time when the Lord kept bringing up pearls through different people who prayed with him or in random conversations. As another part of his sermon illustration about unusual coincidences, “kisses from a good God,” he spoke at length how God had led him to start praying for children with Down’s Syndrome. He told one story of how, after he had prayed for this one Down’s kid, he was able to drink fluid through a straw. Anyway, I got to the fellowship and when I walked in, I made my way through the crowd and found a place to sing. I looked over to my right and there was a lady with pearls all over the neckline of her sweater. I thought that was odd and that the Lord probably had a prophetic word for her (which He did from two of us on our team individually). I looked over to my left and saw a man holding a kid. I thought to myself that if this baby has Down’s, I’m going to freak. The child lifted her head and she was a normal little kid. As I continued to sing, the pearl lady moved a little and I saw a little boy standing between the legs of his mother. My mouth dropped—he had Down’s Syndrome. It wasn’t the time yet to pray, but during the ministry time, I approached the lady and asked her if I could pray for her son. The testimony I had heard in the car was about a boy who was named Joey. I thought, “If this kid’s name begins with a ‘J,’ too, this has just moved into the twilight zone.” I asked her, “What’s your kid’s name?”

“Jeremiah”

To Be Continued. . . .

My wife and I went to a local restaurant to get some take out. As I was standing at the counter, I got a physical word of knowledge for the Syrian man working there. I asked him if he had pain in his left Achilles’ tendon. He looked quizzical at me and asked me if I was a doctor. I said that we were healers. He then asked me for a card. I said, “I don’t have one.” He asked for some cream. I said, “I don’t have any.” He finally asked if I had a center. I said, “Nope.” So, I asked for his hand and released the Kingdom into his foot. Something must have happened, because then he asked me to pray for his left knee. AND after I did that, to pray for both of his shoulders. AND, after that, to pray for his right knee! So, after 5 miracles of healing, I asked if all the pain was gone and he confirmed that it was. I said, “Praise God! Now, we’ll take our food, a Pepsi, a Mountain Dew, and all of your pain.” He was grinning as we left his restaurant.

So were we.

My wife and I went to eat at a food court with our kids at a local mall. As we were eating, a man in a wheelchair started eating his dinner not far from us. There was also another boy in a wheelchair on the other side of us. Feeling ambushed by Jesus, I went over to the man in the chair who turned out to have severe mental and physical problems. I told his caretaker that we would like to do some “treatments” for him for free. He took my number, but hasn’t called yet. Here’s the crazy thing: I was so nervous walking up to him, but as I started talking, I felt love overcome all fear.

As for the other boy in a wheelchair, the family started talking to us and we found out that they are neighbors to some of our close friends here. What a set-up!
